Education From A Teachers Perspective

When teachers are in the classroom their main goal is to teach student the necessary information to help their students succeed based on the standards that they were provided from the government and the district that provides manuals. In order to do this effectively, teacher need to utilize different philosophies and theories so that they can reach each student at the individual level. The difficult part about this task is that there are many different types of learners in one class, and teachers are often overwhelmed. This is where parents can help. Parents play an integral role in helping their children succeed in school.  Children respond well to constructive environments, and when teachers and parents work together to help a child succeed, the result is usually very positive.

Studies have shown that when parents and teachers work together children tend to develop a work ethic with their school work in order to please both parties. This has a very good effect as the student begins to succeed in school, and when the success is recognized then the confidence begins to grow. When a student is confident in their work they tend to strive to work even harder because they like the reward of success. This helps to create an independent learner. Going full circle to why a teacher is in the classroom, it becomes obvious that a teacher strives for students to become independent learners.

Independent learners have a tendency to continue in their education on a positive track, and therefore they begin down a road of life long learning. This is a fantastic development as there are many students that simply do not value the idea of continuing their education, or for striving for a goal. These types of people tend to be highly successful in their career choices because they have trained themselves to learn the necessary information to succeed. These people also tend to synthesize information much quicker than others because they are learners, and learning is a automatic occurrence.
